These are just a collection of links to various websites which have a transport theme. These should all open in new windows. The Railway Blog- A collection of stories, comments, photos, videos and general gossip from the railways. Check it every few days and there is sometimes something interesting or funny.
Carl Berry Public Transport Infomation- I have no idea who Carl Berry is. Or even if that is a person. However this website has all the bus routes, bus companies and train info for everywhere in the UK. Put in a town or village and it will tell you every bus company and route that operates with timetables and full routes. Put in any bus company and it will tell you everywhere they operate and full list of routes.
Motorway Database- Now I know what you are thinking. There is nerdy transport stuff and then there is a website about every motorway in the UK. Bear with me though. Do you travel on the same motorway every day and there is a strange building by the side of the road, or a tower that doesn't seem to have a purpose or anything like that? Well get on this website and find out. For example I have often wondered about the farm that is bang in the middle of the two carriageways of the M62 in the pennies. An old lady that refused to let a motorway make her move? No it turns out according to this website the land wasn't suitable to build the motorway on so left alone.
Bus Photos- This website is very simple. No flashy gimmicks or a photo of a goat on like some websites...... Just photos of buses. Bit hard to get round sometimes but a great collection of buses regularly updated.
Isle of Wight Transport Photos- As well as having a collection of other Isle Of Wight related photos this excellent website also has lots of bus and train photos from the Isle Of Wight.
Open Transport Tycoon Game- If you are interested in transport things you might be interested in this game. Its 100% free and an open source version of a game that was around ages ago. Basically you create a transport network carrying passengers, mail and loads of other goods by bus, train, boat and air. Its addictive.
